Jaclyn Hill Makeup Collection

Hello Lovelies.
I think everyone who loves makeup knows who Jaclyn Hill is. If you don't, you need to look her up. She is a makeup artist guru who has almost 2 million subscribers on YouTube! She is absolutely AMAZING! Jaclyn is always posting great looks that are fun, flirty, and overall... gorgeous! Yes, like many, I have tried to replicate these looks. She also posts on her favorite products, beauty routines, etc. I also love when she does the Q&A and personal vlogs... it shows that she's human just like the rest of us.
If you subscribe to her YouTube channel, you know that she is always talking about Morphe Brushes and Gerard Cosmetics and because of this, I decided to give both companies a try... and so comes what I call my "Jaclyn Hill Collection." I was going to call it a haul, but I'm not sure if it is enough to be a haul! What I will say is that I absolutely LOVE everything that I ordered!

Morhpe Brushes
Earlier this year Morphe Brushes released the Jaclyn Hill Favorites... a palette of her favorite eyeshadows. So of course I had to order it! The palette was sooo popular that Morphe had issues with their website! I don't know how many times I tried to place my order. Sometimes you couldn't even get on the site! But I finally got lucky enough to complete my order before they sold out. Even though it was ordered, I had to wait for them to actually get the product and ship it out! While I waited for my palette, I would read reviews from makeup artists who had already received it and everything I read was very positive. I could not wait! Then other makeup lovers started receiving their palettes and it got me more excited because I knew that mine was on it's way. So of course I was asking people on Instagram for their opinions and feed back... also positive.

When I received the palette... I was a little surprised because it reminded me a little bit of a palette that would come from BH Cosmetics or Coastal Scents. Don't get me wrong, I like both companies (I have palettes and other products from both)... I was just expecting a little more. But when I saw the eyeshadows... I was in love. There is a great range of colors and they are all very pigmented! I have created many different looks with this palette and feel that it was definitely worth the wait! Unfortunately each color does not have a name and when I first received it, it was hard to tell others what colors I was wearing. If you go to the Morhpe Brushes site now, each shadow is numbered (thank goodness!).

(Sorry for the fingerprints on the palette!)

These are swatches from the first two rows that I took outside.

These are swatches from the last two rows.

The case is a black plastic and unfortunately it collects finger prints very easily!
As you can see... the colors are beautiful and you get a little bit of everything in this palette. I also feel that the Jaclyn Hill palette is great for all skin tones and all ages. If you are interested, check it out on the Morphe Brushes site. You will be glad that you did!

Gerard Cosmetics
Jaclyn is always talking about Gerard Cosmetics/Whitening Lightening. She even has her own colors! They had an amazing sale... so of course I took advantage of it! I want to say that it was 40% off or more. They have great packages where you get to pick the colors of the lipglosses or lipsticks and at the time they were 40% off! How can you say no! So, I went ahead and placed my order. Believe it or not, I ordered from Gerard Cosmetics after I ordered the Morhpe palette, but received my the GC order first!

There are a few colors that Jaclyn always mentions, but I only ordered 2. I ordered Rose Hill, which is a beautiful bright pink lipgloss and 1995, which is a neutral pinky/brownish/mauvey color that reminds me of colors what I wore back in... well 1995! It was very hard to pick the other colors, because Gerard Cosmetics have such beautiful colors! It was also hard trying to decide if I wanted lipglosses or lipsticks. For this order, I went with all lipglosses and just 1 lipstick (1995). I LOVE each and every color that I ordered. These lipglosses are absolutely gorgeous and soooo worth the prize! (They have incredible sales all of the time, though so try to take advantage of the sales). I am completely in love with Gerarad Cosmetics now! The glosses are highly pigmented, a little thicker than other formulas, and they are not sticky at all. The lipstick went on smooth and is full of color. My next order will be more lipsticks, because I NEED more of them (I already have a list of the shades that I want).

I already mentioned 1995 and Rose Hill... the other colors that I ordered are:
Cocoa Bean - a dark brownish nude,
Jewel - a beautiful ruby,
Plum Crazy - a deep plum,
Pouty Princess - a pinkish berry (one of my favorites),
Candy Apple - a classic bright red (soooo gorgeous!).

All of my Gerard Cosmetics lipglosses.

As you can see the casing is a clear plastic on the bottom and a gold top with "GC" on it. The best part... I should say the 2 best things about the Gerard Cosmetic glosses is that they have a mirror AND when you unscrew the top there is a light! So if you are going out to dinner, the movies, a club, or them park... all you need is to take the lipgloss with you! How awesome is that?!?!

I am very happy that Jaclyn Hill is a fan of Gerard Cosmetics, because without her I would have never found out about this amazing company! These are some of the best lip products that I have ever tried. If you are interested in any of these lipglosses or lipsticks (or just want to see what else is available), check out the Gerard Cosmetics site.

I am sooo incredibly happy with all of my products... thanks, Jaclyn!
If you haven't subscribed to her YouTube channel yet... check it out here: Jaclyn Hill! You will be thanking me later.

That's all for now!
