Walmart Beauty Box Supscription

It seems that there is a subscription box for everything and for everyone. I like to watch a lot of un-boxing and beauty haul videos on YouTube. I tend to watch one video and then check to see what other videos the vloggers have and that is how I found out that Walmart has a beauty subscription box! How crazy is that?

The Walmart Beauty Box comes out each quarter and only costs $5 a box. That is a great deal! What I really like about this subscription box is that it is all stuff that you use... lotion, body wash, shampoo, lipgloss, etc. A lot of the products are samples, but I don't mind... they're great for when you are going on vacation or just going away for the weekend.

Winter 2014
My first box was the Winter 2014 box. The box is a nice size made out of cardboard and says "Walmart beauty"on the top and the front side. The other 3 sides have pictures of makeup and the bottom says L'Oreal Paris.

Each box comes with a small card from Walmart saying that the "Beauty boxes have you covered all year long." And that the products "will soon be part of your everyday routine."

The products are nicely packed with tissue paper (like most subscription boxes) and neatly placed in the box.

Now for the products...
The first product is the Burt's Bees facial cleansing towelettes with white tea extract. I love these towelettes because not only can you use them to wash your face, but they will remove makeup... great for those nights that you come home really late and are too tired to remove your makeup and cleanse your face! Not only are these towelettes 91% natural, they are also dermatologist and ophthalmologist approved. That's great for those with sensitive skin and those who wear contacts! The towelettes don't feel rough on the skin, leaves your face feeling refreshed, and the white tea extract and aloe do not dry your skin! The packet sold at Walmart brings 30 towelettes and retail at $5.97 (the one we received was a deluxe sample with 10 towelettes).

The next product is the Dove Deep Moisture Nourishing Body Wash. This was a sample size of 1.8 fluid ounces. I feel that the scent is your normal Dove scent that everyone has come to love... it just smells clean. When looking at it and squeezing it out of the bottle, the consistency seems a little thick, but it lathers up quickly when using a pouf. This body wash feels soooo great and leaves the body smooth! In the past, I have felt that some Dove products have dried out my skin, but not this body wash. You can find different sizes of this Dove Deep Moisture Nourishing Body Wash at Walmart and some are in a squeezable bottle others have the nice pump. Retail price at Walmart start from $5.47 for a 22 oz. bottle.

The next product is the Aveeno Active Naturlas Daily Moisturizing Lotion - Sheer Hydration. The ones I found at Walmart were fragrance free, but the sample I received has a light scent that I am not very fond of. Don't get me wrong, the lotion is great. It's a thin consistency and leaves the skin baby soft. I would definitely get this in fragrance free just for the fact that it feels great on! The lotion definitely absorbs in seconds as it claims, but I don't really understand why they say it has a powder like feel. An 18 oz. bottle starts from $8.97 at Walmart.

My favorite product the COVERGIRL Colorlicious Gloss in Juicy Fruit (this was a full sized product). The gloss comes in a clear bottom with the COVERGIRL logo and a twistable silver top. The consistency is thin, but pigmented. The color is a light pink with a little it of shimmer in it. I tend to put on a minimum of two layers. The retail price of the COVERGIRL Colorlicious glosses are $5.39.

The next product was a sheet with samples of perfumes from Flower. Flower is a beauty company that Drew Barrymore is one of the owners of. The sheet has samples of 3 perfumes: Cherished smells like flowers and baby powder, Radiant is pretty strong, I honestly could not smell it for too long or it would give me a headache (sorry), Sultry smells of flowers and spices (this one is pretty soft). Retail value starts at $14.11 for Cherished and $17.64 for the Radiant and Sultry at Walmart.

The next product was a sample of L'Oreal's Color Vibrancy Nourishing Shampoo, Conditioner, and Instant Shock Treatment. I don't color my hair (never have)... so I gave this product to my mother. She liked it... but didn't give me much details! All three products cost about $5.97 a piece at Walmart (shampoo and conditioner are 25.4 fl. oz. and the treatment is 6.8 oz.).

Next product were samples for John Frieda's Touchably Full Shampoo and Conditioner, These products were also for color treated hair. It says that it transforms fine hair. Prices start from $5.97 per product at Walmart.

Overall, great products for my first box.

Spring 2015
The Spring box looked similar to the Winter box only with a lot of orange! This box was full of samples and no full sized products, but again... all are great.

I had found list of the best drugstore beauty products and the Garnier Ultra-Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream was on it. So, I was very excited to get it in my Spring Beauty box. This night cream hydrates the skin, reduces signs of tired skin, and claims that you will see less wrinkles over time. It feels great on the skin. This Miracle Sleeping Cream retails at $11.50 for 1.7 oz. at Walmart, but I also received coupon for $2.00 off. I will be definitely by using this!

The next product was a 3 pack sample of Ken Paves You Are Beautiful Smoothing Shampoo, Smoothing Conditioner, and Thick Conditioning Mask. I have not tried this yet, but will be doing this soon. The shampoo and conditioner is supposed to control frizz and seal the cuticles. They contain 100% essential oils and are paraben and sulfate free. The conditioning mask strengthens, nourishes, and protects your hair color. Retail price for the shampoo is $12.98 for 8.5 oz. and conditioner are $14.98 for 8.5 oz. Retail price for the Thick Conditioning Mask is $17.98 for 5.5 oz. All found at Walmart.

Next product is Lady Gaga Black Fluid Eau de Parfum. This perfume is supposed to feature: tears of belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea, black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and essence of saffron and honey drops. I don't normally like perfumes from artists (singers, actors, actresses, etc), but this perfume is very fruity and sweet. Not too bad, but I don't know if I would actually purchase it (I will let you know if I do). The retail value at Walmart is $18.77.

The next product was also in the best drugstore beauty product list! It's the Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream. After using this skin cream for 5 days you should see that your skin is hydrated, firm, illuminated, and the color should be evened out and corrected. I just started using it, so I will let you know if it actually does what it claims. I have used a normal Jergens body lotion in the past and have loved it, so I am excited to try this. Retail price at Walmart ranges from $7.89 - $8.28. You can also get the skin cream with SPF, which retails from $8.99 - $9.47.

The next product is Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E lotion. This lotion heals and softens rough, dry skin. Not just that, but cocoa butter helps with scars with stretch marks. The product is fragrance free, but it has a nice scent of chocolate! OMG, it smells soooo good when you apply it! The formula is pretty thick, but leaves the skin extremely soft with a little glow. There are many different versions of this lotion, but you can find it at Walmart for $5.28.

The next two products are the L'Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo and Restoring Conditioner. These products are for damaged or overworked hair and is used to rebuild fibers, strengthen the hair, give the hair vitality and shine, and also gives the hair the silkiness feel. I love the light fruity scent of the shampoo! Both smell very... clean. I straighten my hair twice a week, so I feel that I am damaging it... I will be trying these today and give more information in a later post. Retail price for a 12.6 fl. oz. retails at $3.97 for the shampoo and conditioner.

The next product is a sample of Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E Skin Therapy Oil for the Face. This oil is a skin perfecter that transforms your skin. It is made up of Retinol, Vitamin C, and the following 10 oils: sweet almond, sesame, coconut, macadamia, apricot, argan, rosehip, camelina, and sunflower. Seeing that I have really liked other Palmer's products, this will probably become a must have. I received a small packet to test, but I'm thinking of purchasing this soon. I could not find the face oil (the link above is just the oil, which I guess you can use for your entire body), but they must sell it in store. I found it on another site for $8.29.

Next in the box was a small 0.06 fl. oz. sample of Burt's Bees Renewal Intensive Firming Serum. This serum is made with Hibiscus and Apple and is supposed to restore the appearance of the skin's firm texture and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and deep lines. On the packet it states that "94% of women showed a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and visibly firmer skin after using" the serum after 8 weeks. The retail value for a 1.1 fl. oz. bottle is $18.76 at Walmart. I received a coupon for $3.00 off any Renewal Product.

The last thing in my Walmart Spring Beauty box was a coupon for one free Dry Spray Antiperspirant. That is awesome! I was a little upset because I looked at everything in my box, tried a few things, but did not really pay attention to this coupon. So guess what I did. I actually went and bought the Dove Dry Spray and later that same day saw this coupon! I gave it to my husband so that next time we go to Walmart he can pick one out. So the dry spray that I purchased was the Dove Dry Spray in Cool Essentials (it has a cucumber on the front). This is my first spray antiperspirant and I love it! It goes on dry (like it says) and is a little cold at first, but it lasts all day and has a great scent. I will definitely keep purchasing these dry sprays. I believe that they had 3 other scents and I want to try them all!

The Spring box was another great sample beauty box.

Overall, I am very happy with my subscription to Walmart's Beauty Box. Some of these products I would have never tried. Some of them, I may have wanted to try, but too afraid to try to then find out that I didn't like them or that they would react to my skin, contacts, etc.

What did you think of the 2 boxes?
Have you subscribed to the Walmart Beauty Box? If, you have... what did you get?

Lip Factory - Beauty Subcription

I have been going through all my makeup and trying to organize everything. I found 3 months worth of Lip Factory boxes that I had subscribed to last year. With this monthly subscription you mainly receive lip products (hence the name Lip Factory) and costs $22 a month. I was pretty happy with it and received some really great products, a lot of them being from brands that I had never heard of. After 3 months I decided to cancel because I felt that even though I liked the products, I could use the $22 towards something else. Even though I canceled it, I would recommend for people to try it out.

These are all of the products that I received in June, July, and August of 2014.

When I had researched this subscription, people were receiving their products in a beautiful, glossy black box with the Lip Factory label on it. All 3 months that I received my subscription, they came in this cardboard box. I have to say that I was a little disappointed, but the products made up for it.

June 2014
This was my first month. I received 3 lip products and 3 non-lip products. I loved 5 out of the 6 items that I received.

This lip gloss from Model Co. was my favorite. The lip gloss is in a see through container with a mirror and a plastic black top with the Model Co. logo. I received the color Rosie, which is a limited edition color. The color is a beautiful pink and the gloss goes on a little sheer, so I normally apply it a few times. The consistency is not sticky and smooth! The retail price for this Model Co. lip gloss is $16.

The next item was a black eyeliner from Model Co. I LOVE black liners! This "Define Eye Pencil" looks like a normal eyeliner, it's black with pink writing and the Model Co. logo on it. The best part is that the top is also a pencil sharpener! That is sooo awesome! The liner is pigmented, lasts long, and goes on creamy and smoothly. Retail price on the card from Lip Factory said $16, but on Model Co.'s website it says $12 (not cool Lip Factory).

Next item is an eye shadow from girlactik. The shade is Pink Ruffle, which does not come up on their site anymore, so this may have been a limited edition eye shadow. They have many more colors and you can check them out here. The packaging was in a plastic container in a pinkish metallic color with a clear lid that pops up. The color of the eye shadow is a pearly pink. The shade is very nice to wear alone on the lid or can be used as a high lighter on the inner corner of the eyes and the brow bone. Retail price for the girlactik eye shadows are $19.

I normally have a lipstick or lip gloss that has color or a hint of color, but this product from Befine is amazing! This is a Lip Serum made from chamomile and beet root extract, which provide healing antioxidants and support collagen. The lip serum also creates a little lip plumping action! The Befine website has a lot of great products and definitely is worth checking out I couldn't find the Lip Serum on its own, but there is a combo pack with a Lip Exfoliator made up of oat protein and sesame oil. The retail price for the combo pack is $25.

The next product is "Line Maker Lip Pencil" from 29 Cosmetics. These Line Maker Lip Pencils are made from grape seed and beeswax. From what I read, the grape seed extract protects your lips from environmental pollutants. I received the product in the color Leather, which is a beautiful dark brown color (I haven't really used this product). Retail value for the Line Maker Lip Pencil is $23.

I really like this product from Palladio. It is a Nail Sunscreen polish! As much as I love nail polish, I did not know that they made sunscreen for your nails. I mean it makes sense, but I did not know this even existed. I took this on vacation with me last year and have been wearing it since. Living in Florida, it's sunny most of the time. If I'm going to protect my skin, why wouldn't I protect my nails?
This is a great product and I am very happy that Lip Factory introduced me to this brand and this polish. The retail value for the Palladio Nail Sunscreen is $6.

July 2014 - 2nd Anniversary
July was Lip Factory's 2nd Anniversary month and we received an extra product in the box.We received 5 lip products and 3 non-lip products.

The first two products were lip glosses from Beauty ADDICTS. Both are "Sweet Lips Gloss" that hydrate the lip with Vitamin E, have Jojoba butter, and a hint of vanilla. I couldn't find these glosses on the Beauty Addicts site, maybe they are discontinued. I received a light pale pink called in Lilac and a light gold color called Ginger. The Lip Factory card says that you can wear the color independently or blend them together to create a 3rd color. Even though they look very pretty, the consistency is thick and sticky. Retail value is supposed to be $17. The ones that we received were pretty small (almost like a sample), so I am not sure if this would have been the price for a full sized gloss or for the two small ones that we received.

Lilac

Ginger

The Eco-Lips Eco-Tints Tinted Lip Balm that I received it wonderful! The Eco Tints have a little hint of color and is made up of organic cocoa butter, organic coconut oil, organic Argan oil, and aloe Vera. I received the color Plush Red. This lip balm feels very nice and moisturizing on the lips and is a go to product for me during the summer. Retail value for the lip balm is $4.49.

The next item in the box was a Palladio Shadow and Liner Crayon. This "crayon" is made with aloe, and glycerin which glides on easily and does not pull on the eyes. I received the crayon in the color Champagne and tend to use it more of an eye shadow base or liner. The retail value is $6.

I received a Pari Beauty eye shadow in this Lip Factory box. I was not able to find a website for Pari Beauty, but they do have a Facebook page. The color that I received is ES 72, which is a bright aqua-ish blue. This eyeshadow is highly pigmented (my swatch is only on swoop with my finger) and long lasting! Retail value is (if you can buy it) is $11.

We received another Palladio item in this box, which I absolutely love and use ALL of the time! What's the product? The Palladio Brow Fix, which is a colorless, wax pencil that holds your brows in place the whole day. I apply the brow fix first and then color the brows in when needed. The retail value for this is $6 and extremely worth it.

The next product was an OFRA Lip Liner, which is water resistant and also suitable to line your eyes. I had read once that you should not use a lip liner near your eyes... so I will stick to using this as a lip liner! This liner is made from synthetic beeswax and applies smoothly and is long lasting. I received the color Glacier Pink. When I think Glacier Pink, I think of a light frosty pink color... this liner is not that! It's a bit deeper of a pink and looks great when blended with a pinky nude lipstick. This liner retails for $13.

The last product in the box was a surprise gift to everyone for their anniversary! This is definitely my FAVORITE product from the box. It is a Wonder Lip Paint from J.Cat. I had heard a lot about J.Cat from other blogs and was excited to get this product. I also LOVE the color that I received! The color is WLP111 - Red Potion, which is a deep almost burgundy red. It can be a little messy to apply and definitely stains your lips (and skin if you get it on your skin), but it looks gorgeous on! These wonder lip paints remind of the OCC lip tars. The retail value of the wonder lip paint is $4.99 (compared to $18 from OCC).

August 2014
August was the last month of my subscription. This month we only 2 lip products and 4 non lip products (what the heck?), I liked all of the products except the nail polish.

The first product was a mineral blush from LASplash. This was my first mineral blush and I'm addicted! I received the color Pink Treasure, which is a nice soft pink that gives me a natural glow that is long wearing. This color will look great on any skin tone. The retail value is $14.98.

The next item in the box was a Lip Lacquer from LASplash. This lip lacquer has vitamin E and Shea butter and infused with vanilla. It leaves your lips feeling hydrated and gives it a beautiful shine. I received the color Tantalizing, which is a bright, yet slightly sheer pink. The retail value for this lip lacquer is $8.98. This is another great addition to any one's lip gloss collection!

Next is an eye primer from Medusa's Makeup. This Stick It primer is vegan, colorless, and perfect for eyeshadows and pigments. This has become a staple when doing my everyday makeup! Medusa's Makeup has a great website with great makeup that has a range of colors! This is must go-to site for The retail value for the Stick It eye primer is $8.

Everyone knows that I love nail polish. I was excited that I was getting a Cult Nails Lacquer in this box. My disappointment came when I saw that it was a glitter nail polish. I am not a big fan of glitter polishes because they are hard to remove and they scratch your nails. I received the color Center of Attention, which is rose pink glitter with chrome yellow and orange micro-glitter. The retail value is $12.

The next item in my box were false lashes from Red Cherry. I could not find  website for this company, but you can find them on Amazon, EBay, etc. For years I would not buy or wear false lashes (I have long lashes as it is), but 2 years ago I went to a makeup class and part of the class was learning how to put them on and OMG... they look great on! I received the Red Cherry false lashes in Black #16, which are 100% human hair. They make the lashes look soooo full and and long. They are gorgeous! You can find them at a starting price of $2.99 when you do a Google search.

The last product was a lipstick from Pink Powder Parlor. When I checked out their site, they do not have any lipsticks... the lipstick section is filled with different types of lip glosses. I received the color #301 and it came in a completely matte black container. Nothing with the name of the company except the bottom label... very strange. But, the color is a beautiful deep pink. The lipstick is enriched in vitamin E, which gives the lips a lot of moisture. This lipstick glides on and stays put. Retail value listed on the Lip Factory card is $10.

As you can see, I received a lot of great products from Lip Factory. It's a great subscription box, so it was a difficult decision to cancel. I hope that you all enjoyed the post!

What is your favorite subscription box? Is it a beauty box, fitness box, food box, maybe a pet box?
Let me know!
